Mr. Ogsimer specializes in domestic and international arbitration,
mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution; commercial
and corporate litigation involving cross-border and domestic
transactions; criminal litigation; and domestic and inter-country
adoption. His practice likewise includes agrarian reform and property,
corporate banking and finance, corporate and commercial laws, energy
and infrastructure, foreign investments, insurance, labor, securities,
and taxation. Mr. Ogsimer was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1998 (15th place). Practice
Mr. Ogsimer has represented both local and foreign clients in various
litigation and arbitration proceedings in the Philippines and abroad.
His litigation, arbitration and mediation practice involves appearances
before the International Chamber of Commerce, the Construction Industry
Arbitration Commission, the Philippine Mediation Center, trial courts
all over the Philippines, administrative agencies and quasi-judicial
bodies, Constitutional Commissions, the Court of Appeals, and the
Supreme Court. He has represented clients in all stages of litigation
and arbitration (from formulation of pre-litigation/arbitration
strategy and evidence gathering to enforcement or vacation of
judgments/arbitral awards). His broad range of arbitration and
litigation experience includes acting as Philippine counsel for a
Philippine telecommunications company in an international commercial
arbitration before the ICC which involved a claim for US$236 Million,
and for an Australian construction company in an international
commercial arbitration before the ICC which involves an US$89 Million
turnkey contract for a hydro-power project in Northern Luzon,
Philippines, and handling litigation in support of arbitration such as
applications for interim and conservatory measures and provisional
remedies. Professional Activities
Mr. Ogsimer has delivered lectures on arbitration and other topics
involving common sources of litigation in commercial transactions. Education
Mr. Ogsimer obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of
the Philippines in 1997 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business
