Practice

Atty. Pascua is with the Labor and Litigation Departments of the Firm. He handles criminal and civil cases and as such appears and actively prosecutes them before the trial courts. He also handles appellate work before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court and has been involved in cases with novel issues favorably decided eventually by the Supreme Court. On labor law practice Atty. Pascua handles negotiations for Collective Bargaining Agreements, early resolution of strike and lock outs including conciliation before the Department of Labor and Employment National
Conciliation and Mediation Board, wrongful dismissal cases from its inception at the Labor Arbiter level all the way up to the Supreme Court, manpower reduction programs and organizational restructuring. He is also involved in the labor aspects of joint ventures, corporate acquisition, mergers and consolidation focusing on management rights vis-a-vis employee tenurial rights and benefits. He also assists and advises various Human Resource Departments of the Firm's clients on matters such as the formulation of employee handbooks, rules and regulations and other related corporate policies.

Before joining the Firm Atty. Pascua worked with government and the private sector. He was a working student while taking his law degree and was the Chief of the Technical Staff of the Assistant Minister for Operations of the then Ministry of Human Settlements, Technical Assistant to the Administrator of the Farm systems Development Corporation and the Chief Operations Officer of the Laguna Lake Development Authority. Immediately before joining the Firm
Atty. Pascua worked with another Law Firm also in Makati handling litigation cases. He graduated among the top of his law class and was a scholar of the Ateneo School of Law Class 1955, graduating Second Honors. He is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Employer's Confederation of the Philippines and the University of the Philippines Beta Sigma Fraternity.
