Atty. Alegre-Batungbacal’s practice deals with a wide range of capital market transactions. She specializes in advising international and local investment banks in their arrangement of bond and equity issuances by both Philippine corporates as well as the sovereign. She also advises Philippine corporations on various corporate restructuring options, as well as regulatory issues particularly with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Atty. Alegre-Batungbacal was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1997.

Practice
Atty. Alegre-Batungbacal advises both Philippine and foreign investment banks in their various capital market transactions in the Philippines. She has extensive expertise in advising financial institutions on the various bond issuances of the Republic of the Philippines as well as borrowings of certain government owned and controlled corporations, i.e. the National Power Corporation, the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation and the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System. She also has extensive experience in advising the financial institutions who arrange and/or underwrite initial public offerings and follow-on offerings from the equity of Philippine corporates.

Atty. Alegre-Batungbacal has broad experience in corporate law. She has advised local and foreign clients on the regulatory environment affecting any entity doing business in the Philippines as well as the various corporate vehicles available under the local set-up. Atty. Alegre-Batungbacal also assists clients in preparing various corporate filings with the SEC, the PSE and the BSP.
