Atty. Anna Victoria M. Veloso

Anna's practice broadly covers the fields of Philippine intellectual property and labor law and litigation, as well as foreign investment-related matters pertaining to banking, mergers and acquisitions, and international investment arbitration.

She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2004 and has since received her Master of Laws degree in International Commercial and Trade Law from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Practice
Anna has represented both Philippine and foreign clients in various dealings before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Labor Relations Commission, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Intellectual Property Office, the Board of Investments, and the Philippine Stock Exchange. She has also argued cases before the trial courts.

Apart from regularly advising Philippine and foreign clients on labor and human resource issues involving administrative investigations, diminution of benefits, and outsourcing services and job contracting, Anna has also advised Philippine and foreign clients on Philippine anti-trust and competition law, regulatory and licensing requirements, corporate compliance, and investment-related matters on doing business in the Philippines.

Professional Activities
Prior to joining the firm, Anna was involved in Child Rights Advocacy; she did volunteer work for Kythe, Child Justice League and Bantay Bata 163, headed a UP Law child rights organization called Batas at Bata, and acted as a Guardian Ad Litem in the prosecution of child rape cases at the UP Office of Legal Aid.

She has also attended the seminar on International Commercial Arbitration given by The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and passed its qualifying examination for Associate Membership.
