Benjamin Reyes Carale Senior Associate | Benjamin.Carale@Romulo.com Mr. Carale is a member of the Corporate Group and the Corporate Banking Group, with extensive participation in all aspects of corporate and commercial matters and projects, particularly banking, mergers & acquisitions, loans and finance, and insurance. Mr. Carale was admitted to the Philippine bar in 1997. Practice Mr. Carale was an integral part of the team that conceptualized and implemented the legal framework, and prepared all necessary documentation, for the establishment of the first Philippine fixed-income exchange. He has structured and consummated multi-million dollar investments by top multinational companies in listed and highly regulated Philippine companies, such as banks, insurance companies, and finance companies. He has acted as counsel in all stages of each transaction, and independently prepared, negotiated, and finalized definitive agreements relating thereto. As part of the legal team, he has rendered legal opinions on challenging questions of commercial law, such as bancassurance, retail trade, and securitization. Professional Activities Since 2002, Mr. Carale has been a professorial lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law, teaching the subjects Agency & Partnership and Credit Transactions.
